Who we are
Soltic Consulting is a North Vancouver-based climate adaptation and resilience consultancy working at the intersection of climate science, systems change, and social equity. We support organizations and communities navigating complex climate challenges with research-grounded, people-centred approaches.
Our practice spans stakeholder engagement, strategic planning, program development, and interdisciplinary project delivery, bringing systems-level thinking to climate adaptation challenges across public, community, and infrastructure contexts. Across all of our work, we are committed to ensuring that those facing the greatest climate risks have a meaningful voice in shaping resilient and inclusive solutions.
Founder & Principal
Ian Hayes is a climate adaptation, environment, and project delivery professional and Principal of Soltic Consulting, working at the intersection of disability justice and climate resilience. Drawing on more than 20 years of experience delivering complex projects across Canada's resource and infrastructure sectors, he brings a systems-level perspective to how strategy translates into implementation in complex, multi-stakeholder environments. Following a spinal cord injury, Ian began integrating lived experience with professional practice to advance more inclusive, accessible, and resilient approaches to climate adaptation.

Soltic Consulting is developing a configurable climate intelligence engine focused on adaptive response planning for vulnerable populations.
The engine is designed to support responsive protective infrastructure planning and adaptive climate response, with a particular focus on identifying and serving those who face the greatest exposure: people with disabilities, elderly residents, and those with limited mobility or resources.
